BELTON WOODS JUNIOR SECTION

I am honoured to be elected as junior vice captain of Belton Woods for 2021 and pleased to be alongside Andrew Mulhall as Captain. I would also very much like to thank Ken, Iain and Andrew for picking me for the role. I will strive to put as much commitment into the juniors as they do.

I have been playing at Belton Woods Golf Club for 6 years now and the junior section has given me a fun and amazing foundation to grow my skills and love for golf. Since my first round at the club I knew that I wanted to continue to play here because of the support Ken, Iain and the kindness of the other juniors.

Since my first round, I have reduced my handicap form 35 to 13 which goes to show how good the support has been. I have enjoyed the many fun events, competitions against other clubs and the coaching from Iain. This has all gotten me to get to the point I am now and I look forward to what the future has in store.

I am currently studying for my GCSEs at a reputable Grammar school. I am proud to say I took part in the team matches last year along side all the other events at Belton Woods. I hope to play in more events outside of the club this year to further improve my golf and become a more experienced golfer.

My aim as vice captain is to try and get other juniors to have a love for the sport as much as I do and provide them with a fun and supportive place to play.

I hope to help develop what is on offer at Belton Woods and give other juniors the opportunities I had. I have full confidence that with the support of Iain, Ken and our great captain Andrew, I will be able to provide this.
