BELTON WOODS JUNIOR SECTION

Hi. My name is Ken Claxon and I have the honour of being Belton Woods Hotel Junior Organiser. I have over 10 years experience working in junior golf development and over 30 years working in sports development within my various employments in the leisure industry.

To back up my experience I am also a PGA level 1 volunteer coach, Golf  Roots Tri Golf Activator and been involved in the Golf Foundation and other sports partnerships which has given ne an insight into their policies and programmes and where this can benefit the juniors at Belton Woods

I am also fully DBS checked and have attended all the necessary safe guarding  workshops.

​

With in the junior section we are committed to supporting and growing junior golf at the hotel. We continuously monitor and revise our plans and pathway, always looking to increase opportunities for coaching, competitions and social events for everyone.

Personally I am retired and spend my time, when the wife doesnt want me around...which is often, cycling, walking and of course playing golf. I am interested in all sports having played most of my serious sport in the East Midlands, when I lived in Nottingham over 20 years Ago.
